Nissan is disregarding recent speculations claiming that the Japanese automaker intends to slow down its electric vehicle battery production by continuing to offer “No Charge to Charge” promotion. Recently, information regarding Nissan’s future plans with their assembly facility in Tennessee have circulated the internet; however, a Nissan spokesperson, Travis Parman, cleared the confusion by commenting, “The Renault-Nissan Alliance remains 100% committed to its industry-leading EV program.” Parman backed up his claim by noting that the Nissan LEAF has been the best-selling electric vehicle in the United States for the last 18 consecutive months, it would be ridiculous to slow down its production.
