Nissan’s free electric vehicle charging program, “No Charge to Charge”, expands to the Twin Cities. Previously, the markets covered included Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Salt Lake City and Austin. The program, which is limited to public (not home) charging, offers two free years of charging for anyone who buys a new Nissan LEAF. It works like this: buy a new LEAF, receive a card that grants access to multiple charging networks. It’s easy to get a 30-minute DC fast charge, or a one-hour Level 2 charge; enough time to go from 0-80%. The EZ-Charge cards are created by NRG eVgo. The card can be used at four charging station brands: ChargePoint, Blink Network/Car Charging Group, NRG eVgo, and AeroVironment. If that’s not reason to Get Excited, we don’t know what is!
