Nissan Profit on the Rise

Nissan’s quarterly profit has increased by almost five percent due to a greater demand in Nissan vehicles worldwide. The motor company reported that sales increased by more than twenty percent to $31 billion. The Japanese automaker is confident that their sales will continue to increase throughout the rest of the year because of recent sales growth which was outpacing the industry. This year, Nissan is aiming to sell 5.65 million units before their next fiscal year ends. If you would like to read the full article please click below:

Nissan Altima Styling to Lead to Mid-Sized Sales

The Nissan Altima made its way to the spotlight at the New York Auto Show and surprised many. Mamoru Aoki, Nissan’s Global Design Chief has worked diligently towards bolstering the brand’s middling image and catapulting the Altima sedan into the top of the mid-sized family car segment. Although these have been two very challenging goals, he believes that the new design language which premiered in the third-generation Murano will be critical in implementing change. Aoki said, “We intentionally made this car look very different from the normal sedan. To have consistency is of course a target. But to be differentiated from the other companies is the main thing.” The new Murano is stunning and has completely reinvented what a sedan should look like and drive like.

Nissan brings back GT-R to the Nordschleife

Nissan has officially announced that the Nissan GT-R will be making its way back to Nordschleife and race in the Nurburgring 24 Hours. The race will be held on June 21st and 22nd and is considered to be one of the toughest endurance races in the world – known as the ultimate test of man and machines as they compete on the daunting Nurburgring Nordschleife. For the first time in several years, Nissan and NISMO have put together a team of top races from its global stable for one chance in the event. Nissan Super GT Racers, Michael Krumm and Kazuki Hoshino will join forces with NISMO Global Exchange Driver Katsumasa Chivo an Tetsuya Tanaka. Krum said, “Driving a Nissan GT-R at the Nurburgring is pure pleasure – to have the opportunity to battle for top positions makes this year’s race very special for me. I have been waiting for this opportunity for a few years now, and it looks like this could be the shot for a good position. Having said that, anything can happen at the Nordschleife – sow we also need luck of course. For the young drivers in our team it will be a huge challenge. The Nordschleife is the most challenging circuit in the world and when you add rain and fog to the equation, things can get even more uncomfortable. I’m sure they will all do a great job, as everyone has been prepared by Nissan and NISMO very well.”

2015 Nissan Murano in New York Auto Show

At the New York Auto Show last week, Nissan introduced the
beautiful 2015 Murano. The third generation Murano was closely analyzed by
journalists and available for people to judge for themselves while it was being
showcased. According to Shiro Nakamura, Nissan’s Senior Vice President and
Chief Creative Officer said that there are some critical elements in this new
model that make it better than ever before. Nissan has improved the
aerodynamics of the vehicle as well as used different-lighter materials that
have ‘opened the doors to a new era of space travel.’ The new Murano model may
have a new bold style, but nothing has changed under the hood. The same 3.5
liter V6 producese 260 HP;  the XTronic
transmission allows you to switch from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive.

Nissan Lannia Chinese Concept Car Makes Appearance in Beijing

At the Beijing Motor Show earlier this
week, Nissan showcased their latest concept car for auto enthusiasts to
speculate over – the Nissan Lannia is a fastback sedan with a small rear end.
The exterior styling demonstrated to be quite popular and gained a lot of
attention in Beijing. “It was designed by Chinese, built by Chinese, for the
Chinese people, and ultimately for the world,” said Andy Palmer, Nissans’
Product Manager. Palmer further explained that it this design was influenced by
post 80’s trendsetters and is considered to be a sedan theory breaker –
meaning, Nissan plans to redefine the components that make up a sedan today.
Andy Palmer did not confirm that the concept car would actually make it onto
the sales floors across the world, but he didn’t rule it out completely, which
leads us to believe that this concept car might actually make it.

Nissan GT to defend Title

This past weekend, the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 was seen speeding by
during the first round of the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series in Italy – No. 80
was driven by Alex Buncombe, Nick McMillen, and Florian Strauss and behind the
wheel of No. 35 was three training race car drivers, who took turns in between
laps, Mark Shulzhitskiy, Miguel Faisca, and Katsumasa Chiyo. Nissan is proud to
announce that they will all make it to the next GT series. Even after having
several technical problems, the young men were able to finish up strong and
compete in what turned out to be a much more competitive race than anticipated.
“All six drivers performed really well in what was one of the hardest rounds of
the championship as Monza is such a fast track- now I’m looking forward to
seeing how well they go at the next round at Silverstone” said Bob Neville, the
Nissan GT Academy  Team RJN director.
