Nissan Is Set To Redesign The Armada

ext-gal-002-15TDI_ARMeb002-large

There have been several speculations about the possibility for redesigning the Nisan Armada for quite some time. It is not that Armada had been a bad SUV at all but it needed a new look. So Armada’s redesign can be said to be overdue for some time now.

The all new Nissan Armada

The most important point that you will observe in the new Armada is that it looks much better than its earlier models. Its predecessor looked somewhat like a converted Titan. The new Armada’s body seems to have been inspired from the Infiniti QX80. It sports a rugged look and also appears to be more upscale than its processor.

If you compare the new Nissan Armada and X80 minutely, you will feel that the former has a look of an Infiniti but with a new tail and nose. In fact, it can be said that it is a prettier version of QX80.

The Nissan 2017 Armada’s length is 1.2 inches more than its earlier model. However, it has a shorter wheelbase. The Nissan Armada is always known for its spaciousness. The same feature continues in the 2017 model. That signifies that even in this new model there is enough space for 8 people. The car also has adequate space for placing your hockey equipment, soccer balls etc.

Luxury features

Just like its predecessor, this 2017 Nissan model has many luxurious features for its class. Some of them include heated front seats, heated 2nd row seats, steering wheel, Nissan Navigation and a Bose sound system. Nissan has also added other features such as acoustic glass on the car’s front side windows and windshield. More sound-blocking materials have been added in the new Armada so that the interior noise can be kept low.

Why Nissan Skipped Advertising During Super Bowl 50

shutterstock_208572811

In 2015, Nissan Motor Co. decided to join the list of companies not wanting to let go of the opportunity to buy some screen time during the Super Bowl. It was the first time in 18 years that Nissan had taken such a step. However, just one year into it, and the company again decided to stay off the field.

While several companies were vying to get attention from ad-watchers, Nissan decided to give the Super Bowl ads a miss. So what was the reason behind the change of plan? Was it to save money or does Nissan have something else in mind? Here are the answers.

While competitors like Volkswagen and Fiat were making sure that they made each second of their Super Bowl 50 advertisements count, Nissan was focusing on its ad campaign revolving around celebrating hundreds of smaller college sport moments.

College 100 campaign

Jeremy Tucker, the Vice President of marketing for the company, mentioned that the car maker had to choose between going all out during the Super Bowl 50 or making an impression at smaller college sporting events, several times during the year. And the company opted for the latter. He added that it was a tough choice for the company, but the decision of opting out advertising at the Super Bowl seemed better to Nissan.

The leading car maker is focusing on sponsoring schools as well as colleges and advertising at their sports events. The campaign is called College 100 and will focus on events like baseball, soccer, basketball, swimming and so on, for the next four years.

Now, that’s a marketing strategy with a purpose, what do yo think? Show some support to the company by visiting the Cardinale Nissan center today!

What to Expect from 2016 Nissan Sentra

2016-nissan-sentra-exterior-deep-blue-large

The Nissan Sentra has been a favorite in the compact sedan category ever since its launch in 2013. The model contributes to about 15 percent of the total sales of Nissan and is making the competition stiffer in the market. Nissan recently launched the 2016 version of the car and it appears to be much sportier this year, without compromising on its value features.

What’s new?

The 2016 Nissan Sentra comes with improved front and back styling (we are talking about the V-motion grille), resembling the body of a classic sedan. The car is also power-packed with features like adaptive cruise control and a power driver seat. It is also accompanied with several safety technologies like NissanConnect emergency telematics (including services like remote access and customizable alerts), a blind-spot monitor and automatic emergency braking. Other improvements include additions in the dashboard, a driver information monitor (high-resolution) and new steering wheel design offering greater control. The car is generous with space and tall drivers will specifically love it.

The car is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and offers a decent performance with 130 horsepower. Currently, the car is being offered in FE+ (fuel-efficiency-oriented), Base S, SV, SL and SR models.

Nissan has confirmed that the car is equipped with the ‘next-generation D-Step shift program’, which gives it a linear feel as far as acceleration is concerned. Visit your Cardinale Nissan dealer in Seaside today to know if the 2016 Nissan Sentra stands true to its claims.

Forbes Hails the 2016 Nissan Altima as “Rising Tide in Shrinking Pool”

Cardinale Nissan 2_2016Altima

In a recent Forbes article, the 2016 Nissan Altima gets high praise. Though the midsize sedan segment is small and shrinking, Forbes notes that the 2016 Altima hopes “to give sedan (shoppers) a reason to become sedan owners.” With its updates to the exterior design, advancements in safety technology, improved driving experience and better fuel economy, the 2016 makes “a strong case against going SUV,” notes Forbes. The new Altima features a new design incorporating a more sleek, aerodynamic “energetic flow”. This includes a new hood, fenders, head and tail lights, and front and rear fascias. The highway fuel efficiency goes from good to great, jumping from 38 to 39 mpg. The 2016 Altima also receives significant tech upgrades with a focus on safety. Included standard are predictive forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert. Optional radar-based smart cruise control. Also available is a SIRI eyes-free control, through a button on the steering wheel. NissanConnect brings a host of services including emergency calling and remote door unlock. Also new is the SR trim, which brings heightened performance with the 2.5 or the 3.5-liter engine, paddle shifters and a more sporty suspension setup. Forbes praises the new Altima for feeling “more responsive to steering and throttle inputs”, even at the entry-level trim package. Also noted was the drastic reduction in road noise. “All these upgrades, plus higher quality interior materials and a cleaner control layout,” notes Forbes, place the 2016 Nissan Altima at the top of its class. Cardinale Nissan 1 charging station

Nissan’s free electric vehicle charging program, “No Charge to Charge”, expands to the Twin Cities. Previously, the markets covered included Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Salt Lake City and Austin. The program, which is limited to public (not home) charging, offers two free years of charging for anyone who buys a new Nissan LEAF. It’s easy to get a 30-minute DC fast charge, or a one-hour Level 2 charge; enough time to go from 0-80%. The EZ-Charge cards are created by NRG eVgo. The card can be used at four charging station brands: ChargePoint, Blink Network/Car Charging Group, NRG eVgo, and AeroVironment. If that’s not reason to Get Excited, we don’t know what is! Stop by Cardinale Nissan today in Seaside, and get ready to turn over a new LEAF, with some great year-end lease options.

Nissan seeks to Raise its Stake in Renault

Cardinale Nissan 2 hand shaking hand shaking

Nissan is seeking to limit state voting rights in Renault, as well as written guarantees against intervention in its operations by the French carmaker, which owns 43.4 percent of Nissan. The Japanese automaker seeks to raise its own stake in Renault to 25 percent or more, in order to deter management interference by the French government. Since Renault rescued Nissan from near-bankruptcy in 1999, the Japanese automaker has outgrown its parent, accounting for two-thirds of combined sales. The alliance has been under negotiations since April, when Paris raised its stake in Renault from 15 to 19.7 percent, securing double voting rights. Nissan and French officials have been negotiating for months, but on December 11th, Renault’s board decides on a response to the French government power grab. France recently offered to limit the exercise of its voting rights in Renault. Instead, Nissan seeks to neutralize Renault’s control through written undertakings. Currently, Renault has the right to name Nissan’s top three executives, among other things. “What the French intervention has revealed is that the current alliance structure is inadequate,” said a source close to Nissan. “We need governance put in place to prevent this happening again.”

In a post race interview, Michael Caruso, said: “The car is obviously very quick but unfortunately suffered a clutch problem which ultimately ended the great result we were heading towards. Everyone is disappointed, but hopefully they can find out what exactly the problem was and we can rectify it for Sydney in a couple of weeks.”
