In its endeavor of continuing with zero emission vehicles, Nissan has expanded its horizon to its electric vehicles. The Nissan LEAF has already been a big hit in the electric car segment with its powerful acceleration, zero tailpipe emissions, quietness, and classic safety features.

CO2 levels

The IPCC has recommended that the CO2 levels in the atmosphere should be below 450 ppm so that the atmospheric temperature is 2 ̊C. Therefore, Nissan has estimated that the CO2 emissions from vehicles need to go below 90%. In order to achieve the goal, all of Nissan’s electric vehicles have been given a lithium-ion battery along with an electric motor. These together do not produce CO2 or any kind of exhaust fumes.

EV Performance

Despite not being powered by fuel, the EV’s performance is exceptionally good and smooth. The weight of the car is distributed evenly, making the car extremely stable. The revised EV model comes with a lighter body, integrated functions, and a streamlined battery. There are some advanced IT systems also available in the vehicles, which have given some operating freedom to the driver. Drivers can now control certain features using their smartphones.
