Earlier this week, Nissan launched a partnership with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions League at the 2014 UEFA Super Cup in Cardiff City. The automaker’s sponsorship will run through 2018 and includes yearly support of the UEFA Super Cup. Nissan Planning to Implement New Strategy in U.S. Market

Nissan Motor Co. plans to boost sales and profitability in the United States, Nissan’s largest market. After Mazda reported an excessive gain in the North American market, Nissan plans to close in on their Japanese rival. In this year’s second quarter, Nissan posted a 4.3% gain in operating profit margin compared to last year. Overall, in the first six months of the year, Nissan’s sales grew 12.8% – making it the best sixth-bestselling automaker in the country. Nissan’s sales boost came after the hire of Jose Munoz, who took over the company’s struggling North American operations in January. Nissan – Boost in Fiscal First Quarter Gains

New Nissan-Renault Manufacturing Plant in Mexico

Auto-manufacturing in Mexico has been booming and the alliance between Renault-Nissan and Daimler Automotive Group has announced that their new assembly facility will join the other foreign auto manufacturers that have already established themselves in the Mexican land. The assembly plant will be located in Aguascalientes, Mexico and it will become the source for the next-generation compact vehicles for both Mercedes-Benz and Infiniti.
