Nissan recently announced that self-driving vehicle may not be too far out in the future. In fact, they think these vehicles can be on the road in as little as four years from now. All due thanks to GPS positioning, cameras and sensors Nissan was able to create their own prototype vehicle which enables drivers to completely let go of controls at speeds traveling below 30 KM/HR. “The problem isn’t technology, its legislation, and the whole question of responsibility that goes with these cars moving around. Especially who is responsible once there is no longer anyone inside the vehicle,” commented, Carlos Ghosn, the head of Renault-Nissan alliance. Nonetheless, he believes strongly that the first self-driving vehicles will hit the open roads in 2018 in pioneering countries: France, Japan and the United States.
